Our founders, Jeff and Eric, rose from mere mortals to beer deities. In 2017, they decided to bless Cascade Township with their brewing prowess and created the first brewpub in the area. Their goal? To bestow upon the people of Grand Rapids the gift of quality beer. Since then, their brewery has become a shining star in the local beer scene, and the citizens of Grand Rapids have embraced them with open arms.

Our Barrel Finished Gin, which is a favorite among gin enthusiasts, has been awarded a Bronze Medal at the 2019 US Open Spirits Championship and a Silver Medal at the 2018 Great American Spirits Competition. Our regular Gin has also been recognized with a Silver Medal at the 2018 Great American Spirits Competition. The complex and smooth taste of the gin, crafted with a unique blend of botanicals, has made it stand out among other gins.

Thornapple Brewing Co’s distillery also offers Pear Brandy that has received a Bronze Medal at the 2018 Great Lakes International Cider Competition and a Bronze Medal at the 2018 Perry Competition. Crafted using the finest pears, the fruit-forward brandy has a smooth finish that is sure to impress brandy enthusiasts.
